Connect your domain
Connect your domain with Hostinger
Your domain is managed in the Hostinger hPanel. The record goes in the DNS records area for your domain.
The record you are adding
Droply shows your exact record on the Domains page of your dashboard. It looks like this (copy your own values from there):
Type
CNAME
Name / Host
your subdomain
or
or
@ for the root
Value / Target
customers.droply.id
Steps in Hostinger
The words in bold are exactly what to look for and click in Hostinger.
- Go to hpanel.hostinger.com and log in to your Hostinger account.
- In the top menu, click Domains, then open Domain portfolio.
- Click the domain you want to connect to open its management page.
- In the left sidebar, click DNS / Nameservers, then select the DNS records tab.
- Under Add new record, choose the type in the Type dropdown (for example CNAME or TXT).
- In the Name field, enter the label Droply gave you (see "Good to know" for the root domain).
- In the Target field (also shown as Points to), paste the target Droply shows you (the one above).
- Leave TTL at its default unless told otherwise.
- Click Add Record to save it, and repeat for any second record Droply shows.
Open Hostinger
Opens in a new tab. Keep this guide open beside it.
Good to know
- Name field = label only. Enter just the host part; Hostinger adds your domain. For
www.yourdomain.comtype onlywww. - For the root/main domain, type
@in the Name field (that means the bare domain itself). - Hostinger does not allow a CNAME on the root
@record. If Droply asks for a root CNAME, use the label it provides (oftenwww) instead. - Copy the target character for character; a stray space or missing letter breaks the connection.
- After saving, DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to propagate, though it is often much faster.
- If your domain uses external nameservers (not Hostinger's), the record must be added at that other provider instead.
After you save
That is the only step on your side. DNS changes take a few minutes to spread across the internet (sometimes up to an hour). You do not need to do anything else: Droply checks automatically and turns your domain live the moment it is ready, with HTTPS set up and renewed for you forever. Grab a coffee and come back in a bit.
